Blooms & Beyond: The Story Behind Jim & Mary's New Coloring Book

If you've stayed at Jim & Mary's RV Park, you've probably seen someone wandering around with a camera, stopping every few feet to photograph a flower, a bumblebee, or a teeny tiny spider posing next to a dew drop.

As our office manager and official park photographer, Sarah spends a lot of time noticing the little things most of us walk right past—a flower that's finally opened, a curious squirrel, or a garden bed that looks especially beautiful in the morning light.

All that time spent around the gardens turned into Blooms and Beyond, a coloring book inspired by the flower beds you'll find throughout the park.

Featuring 40 unique designs, each page was hand-drawn by Sarah and inspired by everything around the park that makes Jim & Mary's feel like, well... Jim & Mary's.

"I've always found a quiet peacefulness in coloring, as well as in the process of line work," Sarah says. "A coloring book was the perfect project to highlight my love for my day job."

The pages range from simple to intricate, making the book fun for kids, adults, and anyone who enjoys slowing down with a creative project. The designs are printed one per page, making it easy to color with crayons or colored pencils—and if you end up with a masterpiece, you can even frame it!

Guests often mention how beautiful our gardens are at Jim & Mary's, and to that, we thank our dedicated gardening team. Whether you're grabbing a pint of Wilcoxson’s huckleberry ice cream from our gift shop, walking your dog, or heading back to your RV after dinner, it's hard not to notice the flowers around the park.

Blooms & Beyond is Sarah's way of capturing that beauty so guests can take a small piece of it home.

So, the next time you're in the office, take a moment and flip through a copy—you might recognize a few of your favorite flowers from around the park. Then head back outside and see if you can find the real thing!
